A Trip Down Memory Lane As A Child
A trip down to memory lane is a story about when I slowly reflect on a time years ago before I left to the former Soviet Union. It was a cold day in November and I was eight years old. That early morning, the sky was clear and the sun was shining, as I stood alone on the summit of a Swiss mountain peak.

Have a Little Faith in Yourself - Transforming "I Can't" Into "I CAN"
Do you have faith in yourself? Sometimes we lose that belief in our ability to do what we want and need to do with our lives. And that's okay. What matters is that we find that faith again... and act on it. Because when we act, so will all the other forces - whether we have faith in them or not.

I'm Done With "Shoulds"
I have spent a lifetime agreeing to SHOULDs. You name it, if it was a SHOULD, I'd force myself to do it. No matter whether it was good for me or not. No matter if it fit who I was, or am, I pressed myself into that mold. After all, in my mind, I had no choice.

Can Fidgety People Start a Mindfulness Practise?
Given our world of alacrity and technology, it is difficult for most of us to be mindful. We have to very diligently take ourselves out of the frey in order to cultivate even a few moments of quiet and stillness. Given this kind of world, it can be hard to start a mindfulness practice. But is it impossible? I believe that given the state of our world, it is especially important to take steps to become more mindful. This is because mindlessness can cause a lot of undue anxiety and health problems down the road. But what about the person who is anxious and mindless-- can such a person meditate or start a mindfulness practise? I believe that anyone can start a mindfulness practise, regardless of our current state of mind. And given the busy, plugged-in world that we all live in the midst of, I believe that it is especially important to develop a mindfulness practise. In this article, I will show you how to start a mindfulness practise, even if you are fidgety.

To Be Genuinely Inspired We Need the Love, Strength and Power of Almighty God
Samson is a byword for being strong, but his strength lay not in his muscular attributes. He was no 'Charles Atlas'. He uprooted city gates, killed a lion with his bare hands, and broke ropes that bound him, but he was not very strong on the inside. Samson was very different from Gideon, being raised in a godly home, and prepared for a life of significance and purpose, yet, he shows us how not to let our strength become our weakness. Strong people develop strong motives, good and bad. Who do we need to look to for strength and support, and who do we need to strengthen? A word of encouragement can be the greatest way of strengthening those around us.

Help Me, O Loving Gracious Merciful God - You Know What I Need, I Ask for Your Help Today
Knowing that God is good does not mean that He says "Yes" to every prayer request. If He did, hardly anyone would die! No parent who truly loves a child will give the child everything the child wants. When the request is wrong the answer is "No", and when the timing is wrong the answer may be "not yet". A delay is not a denial. If we blow it, and mess things up, God is willing to welcome us back. Over the years I have met very few people who, having messed things up, have repented and returned. Our God is the God who gives men another opportunity - if they want it, and take it, and are prepared to do something about it.

Our Loving Gracious Heavenly Father Has Good Gifts for His Children - Embrace What He Has for You
What might those around you be trying to do to you to get you down? What might be happening in your life that makes you feel like giving in or giving up? What might be troubling you deeply and it has bothered you for some weeks and months and perhaps it has even bothered you for years? There is an answer. There could be more than one answer - but the one that really works is found in the love and mercy and grace and forgiveness and peace of Jesus Christ. We have to choose at times. What do you think of, when you think of God? Many have their own idea of God, and what God is like, and even how and when Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was born.

Choose to Volunteer and Contribute Your Bit
While I embarked on my corporate journey, I kept wondering and introspecting all these years. What have I done as a responsible citizen for this nation and for its people? India is still a developing country with multiple issues surrounding the economy- poverty, illiteracy, mal nourishment, diseases, pollution to name a few. Believe me, with the existing eco system surrounding us, it is very easy to blame and criticize the government, the ministers, the politicians, the bureaucrats with corruption, lack of transparency and accountability for different issues prevailing and corrupting our society. So, my question is for all well to do people, have we really volunteered to contribute in some way or the other in working towards these social causes or economic issues?

Solitude - Feared or Embraced
I have found that nothing turns a person cold more than the fear of being alone. I also venture to say that it's not so much the loneliness that we are afraid of, although it is there, but it's the fear of confronting who we really are, what we really are.

Lessons by Omission
By failing to provide lessons, we invite others to create lessons that are meaningful to them: these are lessons by omission. If your boss does not know how to handle a difficult conversation; if your partner is too aggressive or passive; if your parents missed putting boundaries or challenging you; interactions give you the opportunity to learn from other's weaknesses. And that is also a gift.

Center As You Enter
I open my eyes. Morning. Quiet time. Meditation. I relish this moment. Yes, there is much to do. The difficult conversation ahead. The pile of work sitting on my desk and on my mind. The emails to return. The seminar to design. Do I have time? Yes. I will make time. I will sit quietly and do nothing. Nothing except to notice the breath coming in and going out of my body. The thoughts, the physical awareness, the birds chirping outside my window. All coming and going, like the breath.

What He Did for Me
People who don't believe in God, Jesus, Heaven or hell don't like being preached to. The best way to share faith is to express what it means to you personally. The other person can take or leave it. This is how I share my faith. Just like I do with "Merry Christmas", here is my "Happy Easter"

Bold Faith
Bold faith was used by champions like manna from heaven. They knew their faith was the gridiron glory moment they used to help them succeed or fail; win or lose; carry the trophy in glory or go home the loser. After spending countless hours, in the rain, the heat, the freezing snow, conditioning the body, the mind, the spirit, and the sacrifices away from their families, businesses, and personal needs, defeat seemed an unacceptable take home pay off. Unfortunately, it is the cost we risk. Sometimes, it is a glorious reward, and often it is utter defeat.

Why The Purpose For Your Life Is To Experience The Fullness Of Who You Really Are
The purpose for your life is to experience the wholeness of who you really are. Many people believe their purpose in life is to find happiness. This might be true if you were living in a Utopian society, but I don't believe happiness is the sole purpose for life but one part of it. If happiness is our primary aim, why are so many people unfulfilled when there are more opportunities than ever?

Failure Is the Condiment
Many of us have been taught that not achieving immediate pleasure is a need. Failure is life's way of moving us in a different way and actually letting we greet eventually achieving that success we have been endeavouring towards. Failures have given us a true understanding of self and drove us to attain that success that we envy. Failure is not an end, it is only a beginning. That failure makes us rethink to constructs a new plan, pushing us in a direction we may have not originally planned.
